I'm happy you've joined me here on my blog and hope you find an enjoyable experience browsing through my work.
I am a Midwest artist painting in Pastel and Oil. My original work is currently handled by Framations, a wonderful gallery in St. Charles, Missouri.
October 08, I became a resident artist at the Foundry Art Centre in St. Charles, MO. I just love being there, working in my bright new studio, talking to the visitors about what I do and how I do it.
The figure has become predominant in my work. I do figure studies from live studio models. I do the studies in pastel because I love to draw and I can work so quickly with them. Many times, the drawings are later turned into finished paintings. Although loose and expressive, these paintings tend to be fairly realistic.
I always have several paintings in progress at once and find it challenging to switch it up with still life, abstract and even some plein air work.
Sometimes I fear that my work will never get any better.
I know that art is a never ending learning process but
we don't have forever, do we? So maybe it's teaching me about patience.
Thank You
